I don't see how the Pred can rip off those wings without getting his hands all cut up.

i picture them both falling off something and the predator on gabriels back ripping them off before gabriel can roll/ turn around and hit him back

If I remember correctly, those wings were razor sharp. And they didn't exactly look like they were easy to tear off.

I don't remember any Preds wearing complete armor. They had bits and pieces here and there but nothing that encompassed majority of their bodies. Plus they don't have it on their palms or anything. So I don't see how a pred can rip off Gabriel's wings without its hands getting ripped to shreds in the process.

he has his blade pack and smart discs... should be enough to tear some feathers and make some holes to make it easier to rip apart

Those were metal wings IIRC. Don't think they're that easy to rip.
