ok folks, first off i want to say thanks to the 4 people who took up my offer to take part in this little shindig. i think the matches have been great and i can't wait til the finals.
i need to say thanks again to our judges who put in the time to read the matches and give their thoughts. your efforts are genuinely appreciated. that said, i had a second group of people who had agreed to do some judging as well, but haven't had a chance yet, so i thought it would be good to have a new set of eyes looking at the characters in the final. i've also had 2 current judges pm me to say they can no longer do the final, sooo....instead of just replacing the 2 i figured might as well get a different group.
so, the judges in the finals will be omega vision, bada, damborg, stoic and the crazy frenchman, bentley.
please PLEASE PLEASE don't think i'm 'dismissing' any judges and i'm begging you not to take offense. i'd had some judges in reserve just in case, and with a couple bowing out i figured it might not be a bad idea to have a completely new set of eyes. it should go without saying that i (and the others) appreciate the job our judges HAVE done, and WILL be doing in this next match (IF it ever finishes.....). if a couple of you would REALLY like to stay on, we could easily incorporate 7 judges instead of 5. just pm me if you think you might be interested. otherwise, i am VERY much looking forward to reading your thoughts on the current match and thank you again for the help already given. 👆

If you feel you really want to have one more post I can hang on and see if there's anything in it I need to address, but at the moment all I would be posting is a sum-up (since I have had the last say so far)
we'll call the deadline midnight sunday my time (EST). if you wanna post sunday afternoon scoob to sum up or reiterate, that's cool. i think to be fair, if smurph can't post before then, he should also be given a summary post (as opposed to a post that allows for new material) since you wouldn't then get a chance to respond. hopefully he shows up today or tomorrow and you guys can figure out the last posts or if it is going straight to the judges as is.

Technically they tweaked our rules a bit. The speed cap is the biggest difference where, in theory, our drafts stand a far better chance. < lightspeed vs. Mach 20. 😬
So there's an intrinsic appeal to this idea, I agree. But it may not make competitive sense.
