Nope, he doesn't need a ring, just a boot to the stomach. It doesn't matter who you are, if you have a stomach Batman can hurt you by booting you in it.

Oh it would change ALOT...

Apokalips has lots and lots and lots of high end tech; with Henshaw being a high end technopath, Thanos could never put him down and all that high end tech would be amping Henshaws attacks...

Henshaw would just keep rebuilding himself (and he was able to do so on Apokalips extremely rapidly) and chipping away at Thanos until Thanos falls...
