Not sure how well the lightning plan pans out. If we're to take the cut content somewhat seriously, Savage at least knows that holding his lightsaber in front of lightning helps to repel it. While 2 Savage's with their immense durability hold off lightning the other three can be attacking Sidious with telekinesis or bullrushing him.
Not saying it's impossible for Sidious to win, just doubt it'll be easy.
Cut scene is Canon.
Filoni confirmed it was only deleted because it wasn't fitting in the 20min episode. Not because "it was stupid" or "it contradicts other stuff".
Usually a deleted scene would be considered Non-Canon because it can no longer fit anywhere in the story (e.g. The Anakin and Ashoka vs Ventress fight in TCW Movie). But in this case we have that Whole section of the fight missing so we know exactly where it fits.
And we also know that Sidious wasn't going all out on them. Not every force user with a lightsaber will automatically be able to defend against such lightning. So even if the cut content were to be taken seriously, I have no reason to believe that Savage is capable of defending against Sidious' lightning.

Not really. If he will attack them with FL, he will be forced to lower his guard.Even if he will be able to stun two Savages with his FL, one of the others, will be able to catch him off-guard with his TK - the same way, that Maul did.
And, there still will be to Savages left, which are ready to attack Sidious with the Force or sabers.
Sidious is untouchable for two, or even three Savages. But five? Besides that, Savage has a lot of raw-power in the Force.
Those examples:
Sidious - Maul;
Dooku/Ventress - Opress;
Anakin/Obi-Wan - Ventress;
are showing, that even someone really powerful, still may be unable to release himself from the grip of someone less powerful.
Obviously, Savage is not Maul, he may be not able to stay focused as long as Maul could, but even a few seconds might be enough.
I have no idea, if Savages will take the majority, but they will win few rounds.
There is the speed factor though.
Also, he doesn't have to use his lightning right away. He could separate them via TK and take some of them out by dueling and then deal with the remaining ones with his lightning.
Besides, this isn't just about raw power.He is a lot more experienced and smarter. Dummies like Savage will always find them selves trapped in a disadvantageous position against enemies like Sidious.
Originally posted by McPLOL! Stun them with lightning? Sidious doesn't stun opponents with lightning, he turns them to ash. Also if Sidious can knock a lightsaber out of Yoda's hand with lightning then Savage doesn't stand a chance. Sidious has every advantage in the book against the 5 Opress's.

Sidious laughed at one Opress, 5 is just going to be an after meal exercise

I'm thinking the Savages take this. Maul and Savage wasn't a complete walk in the park for Sidious. 5 Savages just seems like too much.
