What is the best pokemon game for ds

I'm thinking about getting pokemon for a regular ds. But I don't know which one I should get. So the question is what pokemon game should I get?

The Gen V games are also in the system, so technically it dépends in how interested you are in the new features of those. All things considered I believe the extra features in the Gen II remakes to be superior for single play, but the addition of the Gen V Pokemon cannot be understated.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you're ok as long as you don't get Diamond or Pearl.
