Probably. His lightning would only serve to keep Savage at bay and Malgus isn't so far above Maul he could continuously hold off Savage while fighting him.

Malgus was able to send 4 protags flying with his TK. He could be able to do that here as well which would give him a chance to charge a maelstrom. He has a chance imo.
