Supermans vs Lanterns

Pre DCnU

Superman
Energy Superman
Cyborg Superman
Tangent Superman

VS

Alan (Sentinel)
Sinestro (Yellow)
Hal (Green)
Atrocitus (Red)

Supermen win

I'm with Carver.

Has a Green Lantern EVER beaten a "Superman" in a fair fight (ie no weakness exploits or amps)?

The closest would be Kyle casually imprisoning Ultraman for 48 hours in a construct and Ultraman unable to break it.

I'd bet on Alan Scott over any of them, if he had auto shields. Since he doesn't, he probaby gets blitzed...

This always struck me as odd. Specifically because I remember a specific feat where Kyle absolutely unloaded on Superman with an energy attack, and I don't think he was holding back. Supes face was all f*cked up, but that was about it..I don't even think he was knocked back or anything.

Also the problem with the Ultraman feat when comparing it to Supes is..isn't Ultramans entire thing that he begins to grow weaker the longer he is away from..whatever his power source was? I remember the evil Wonder Woman saying this to him. So being trapped for 48 hours, Ultraman would of just been growing weaker and weaker, right?

I have seen post crisis Supes bust through GL shields without too much trouble, though this was a shield made by John Stewart.

Why would you bet on Scott? I seem to remember Black Adam breaking out of constructs Alan had created to try to hold him, without having to strain that much to accomplish it.

Kyle was later stated to be gradually siphoning power from Ion entity but I doubt he was any more powerful than usual.

Kyle has some insane feats at his peak.

And it was right around the place where Ultraman's power source was, so I doubt it.

Superman is, well Superman.

To Surtur:

Well, Adam also made a hole in Spectres head. The Shazam characters have resistance to magic.

But it was Alan Scott's mace construct that allowed Hawkman to damage Adam. "My power is in that mace", as he gave it to him, followed by a beatdown.

Yeah, but Adam didn't use pure strength for the Spectre thing. He used some kind of electrified psycho crusher type of thing. But he broke Alan's shields on pure strength, and Adam has more or less identical physical stats to Kryptonians.

Power Ring's ring also confirmed that Kyle's construct was "impenetrable":

It's easy to forget how friggin powerful pre-Johns-era Lanterns were.

Amazo using hal's ring imprisoned whole JLA minus superman.

Hal jordan did the same to Ultraman, iirc.

Supermen stomp all day.

You guys are forgetting that Kyle is the strongest being in DC.

Doesn't mean the writer was taking it into account, but before the LAST LAUGH incident with Kyle, in GREEN LANTERN: OUR WORLDS AT WAR Kyle specifically brings up about how things have been getting easier. Jade thinks he's simply been getting better, but yeah, it was a hint of him becoming Ion.

How much more powerful? Did the writer have this in mind? Dunno, but canon-wise Kyle WAS more powerful than normal when Superman walked through his id blast.

Also, I'd give this to the Supermen. I would find energy Superman vs a Lantern interesting though. Abhi, did either Superman Blue or Red face Kyle or any similar opponents?

Found this.

Does Alan, Sinestro and Atrocitus require concentration as well? If so, energy Superman has the potential to solo the Lanterns, making this a rapestomp with the others.
