Fun Force Wielder's Tournament

I haven't been on this site for a few years, but something has sparked my interest again.

I have decided to make a World Cup-style (Football, or Soccer for you American folk) tournament, as a little fun game to play.
The majority of combatants are taken from the PT, with the exception of ROTJ Luke and pre-TPM Sifo-Dyas.

For every battle there will be a voting system; the combatant with the highest number of votes will win. There will be a total of 32 combatants, split into 8 groups of 4. Each combatant will fight every other combatant in his/her group, and the 2 with the highest amount of victories will progres into the knockout stage.

Each combatant will be their most powerful version, with the exception of Luke who will ROTJ version, and Sidious and Shaak Ti will be their ROTS versions.

I shall post a new battle every 24 hours, more or less.

Each battle shall take place in the Geonosian arena, like a typical gladiatorial battle. The spectators have come from all corners of the galaxy, from senators and monarchs, to bounty hunters and scavengers.

Each battle will contain the usual 3 rounds:

Round 1: Force
Round 2: Sabers
Round 3: All-Out

Win by any means necessary. For the group battles, each combatant will be magically resurrected in order to continue their campaign.

Nice concept btw, and welcome back.

I'd recommend replacting RotS Sidious, btw. He irrefutably wins this.

Diyas and Pablo should probably be replaced too, none of them have any showings.

Yeah, putting Sidious and Yoda there really takes a lot of the suspense out of the tournament.

I'll add to the pile. If you're doing a tournament, you should leave out the indisputably top-top tier people.

Final Match is Yoda vs. Sidious, which, as usual, ends in a mostly draw with Yoda fleeing. Everyone else is useless, and not the least bit threatening to either one. At Plageuis, Caedus, or a stronger Luke might've made things more interesting.

Luke wins this fight. Also get rid of Yoda and Sidious (Maybe replace them with Ventress and Quinlan vos respectively).

Ok, Luke wins his first match quite comfortably.
I'm giving him 3 points for his victory. (a la Football points).
