What we need is a bipartisan/independent moderate in the office.
Shakya is pretty close to that. But any time he posts about how silly it is to praise Democrats (in direct opposition to the GOP), he is met with harsh words and criticism.
On KMC, I have always felt like the minority, politically, on most topics. In reality, I'm in a very broad moderate category which is, in general, shared by tens of millions of Americans.
Edit - I would say Shakya and I are very close, politically, on our positions.

I was and I still am. I liked that guy. And he didn't seem racist as much as he seemed sexist. We were friends on Facebook. He was a genuinely nice guy. I think he used this site as a rage-posting fest against the overtly democratic KMC members, here. When all of your Facebook friends are right-wingers, you have no one to mature your ideas against. It's just like talking in an echo chamber. So he probably used this place to mature his ideas: that's my opinion.
He wasn't absurdly wrong with many of his ideas. He was also more intelligent and educated than Star so it was easier to have an intellectually stimulating conversation with him. I enjoyed his political posts and his perspectives. I wish he would come back.
Edit - And contrary to popular belief, he wasn't a fat, acne-infested, neck-beard. He was a fit, handsome, well-groomed man. You never know the type of person you're arguing against and making wild guesses about someone's physical appearance is probably not a good idea. Granted, some people on this site look exactly as I suspected they would. lol

I don't believe it is happening today or will happen today. It feels like it would be more likely that a conservative white male would be for black-gun ownership than not. Here's why: legally owning a gun in most states require you not be a criminal. "One less gun in the hands of a criminal." Only when you get to KKK levels of racism do you see, "All black men are criminals" ideas.I hope that makes sense.
Another way that it won't happen now is racism is not like it used to be in the 60s.
Saw this today:
"On May 6, a white man and a black man conducted a high-risk experiment. The two pro-gun, open carry supporters walked the streets of their neighborhoods with the exact same type of gun — an AR 15 — slung over their backs. They both live in places where it’s legal to open carry, and they both got stopped by police." -end snip

See, I told you racial equality is on the rise. Now the police are violating the rights of all races, equally.

I can only speak for myself, but when I criticize him, it isn't because he's hating on democrats, but because he makes statements like "democrats are no better than republicans" that don't really contribute much to a debate about any given issue.
Now I feel dirty gossiping behind Shakya's back. Sorry Shakya, I hold nothing against you personally--you're a cool dude.

He's more than adequately expanded on his positions in the past. Like many of the old-timer GDF people, we don't feel the need to repeat our same arguments so we keep it simple. "Democrats are just as bad as Republicans" is a very succinct and forward way to put that.
