-The iconic trapped under debris scene from ASM #33 was great. I almost panicked myself watching that scene. Pete sounded like he was dying there. It felt like I was watching an actual kid being crushed and it stressed me the hell out. The eventual scene of him pushing himself to the limit to free himself was so relieving.-The action sequences were well done and actually felt real. They had a weighty, swingy, physics to them that had everything feel like it was spinning. Spidey himself always looked like he was in over his head. This wasn't like watching the Avengers or Batman were you know they'll win because they're calm, capable, and in control. He felt like he could die at any moment and he was panicking through it all but forcing himself to push it to the limit, think through it, and take it a step at a time. He felt like a normal, down to earth person dealing with something leagues beyond themselves and he came out on top.
-That Parker luck. Getting screwed out of dances, parties, competitions, grades hanging by a thread, all because of circumstance. The biggest instance of this was that reveal of who Liz's dad is. My jaw dropped. Just when everything was going so great too.
-The comedy. There were multiple moments that made me audibly lol. Some of them were Pete, others were situational (Cap and his motivational videos, Aunt Mays ending scene, everything with MJ)
-Thank god Pete rejected Stark at the end and chose to be his own man. I've been praying for that ever since Civil War. I was never a fan of Petes "Yes mister Stark, right away sir" routine. I seriously listed this as one of my most wanted scenes in this movie months ago.
-Phenomenal villain. Keaton knocked it out of the park. This guy was the first time a villain actually came off scary in a super hero movie. He was terrifying, but still grounded in his motivations. That line of his he threw when Pete told him selling guns to bad guys is wrong was solid. "How do you think Stark bought that Avengers building of his?"
-Lastly, that MJ reveal. I was one of the people who originally wasn't a fan of the casting. Then they said it's not her and she plays a character named Michelle, and I was relieved. I was too focused on the red head bomb shell party girl I was expecting from the source material. Imagine my surprise when Zendaya actually improved on the character. To be honest, when MJ first appeared in comics, she wasn't a very complex character. She was fun, hot, partied, and kind of an air head. In this day and age though, the nerd getting that girl is kind of a played out movie trope. They subverted that with him having to reject Liz, and they built MJ into an entirely new character that actually improved on the original IMO. MJ in the comics didn't come into herself until she got older and matured into the girl Pete married. That's when she became a lovable character and overtook Gwen IMO. All this casting did was give her a new base to build off of into who she'll eventually be, and this base is infinitely more interesting than what MJ actually started off as.It's a little weird the M starts for Michelle instead of Mary now, but I'll live. She will make a fantastic love interest in future movies and I'm glad she proved me wrong.
The only thing that disappointed me was the handling of Shocker. He was never in full gear despite his full costume leaking months back. His character was annoying too. The first Shocker at least had some personality. Overall, they wasted him. Thats too bad since he's easily in my top 5 SM villains. Otherwise, I liked the casting for Gargan. I'm looking forward to seeing him as Scorpion in future movies. Prowler was pretty meh, though this may have been to set up Miles Morales. I hope not. Tinkerer was good, he worked. Thankfully, Vulture was a great enough villain to make up for all the others shortcomings.

So Kingpin, Green Goblin, Shocker, Ock, Venom, Tinkerer, Sandman, Lizard, Vulture, Rhino, and Electro are all out.
The most obvious contenders at this point are Scorpion, Hobgoblin, Mysterio, and Kraven. Those are all the big ones left unless I'm forgetting someone. Maaaybe Chameleon but he can't carry a movie alone.

Hobgoblin before GG? Not happening. Scorpion or Mysterio, most likely. Maybe Mysterio + Chameleon for extra mind-****ery.
So, just got back from seeing this. I thought it was a lot of fun. And much, MUCH better than the last 3 solo Spiderman films we got (Spiderman 3 and ASM 1&2). I liked the story and thought that they did a good job with the pacing of it. No part of the film felt like it dragged, and it had some great action set pieces. Overall, the performances were good (though there were a few misses, which I will get to), with a special nod to Keaton, who was great as Vulture. They also made good use of Tony Stark without making him overbearing. He is not in it much, but the moments when he does show up it actually has a meaningful impact. I also liked how they used plot elements to throw little nods to previous MCU events. Holland's Spiderman also has some good development, and it is interesting to see how he goes from point A, at the beginning of the film, to point B, by he end.
That being said, I did have some gripes. While most of the performances were solid, Flash was a joke, Liz (Peter's main love interest for this film) had about as much charisma as a display mannequin, and Toomes' henchman/minor villains were somewhat mediocre as well. Also, I felt that there were moments where they made Spiderman act inept purely for the sake of generating a few laughs, which I could have done without. The humour overall was good though.
All in all, it was a good film though. Probably my favourite superhero film of the year so far.

To some degree, yes, he is still inexperienced with crime fighting itself. But I'm talking about basics, like web swinging. In some scenes he pulls of complicated aerial moves while under pressure, while in others he seems to have trouble just avoiding stationary objects. And it seemed clear to me that the latter instances were meant for laughs.
