SPIDER-MAN will battle a villain that hasn't been on screen yet according to Kevin Fiegehttp://www.comicbookresources.com/tag/spider-man+%282017+movie%29
My original hope was for Kingpin and one super power powered henchman (Shocker, Scorpion, or Rhino), but thats gone.
EDIT:
"Feige described the tone they’re aiming for with the film and invoked the name John Hughes, director of many beloved teen films throughout the 1980s (The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off).
It’s the soap opera in high school, and those supporting characters, that are interesting. Just as we hadn’t seen a heist movie in a long time, or a shrinking movie in a long time, we haven’t seen a John Hughes movie in a long time. Not that we can make a John Hughes movie – only John Hughes could – but we’re inspired by him, and merging that with the superhero genre in a way we haven’t done before excites us."
Nope what I was expecting. Lets see if they can deliver that.

Would it really be horrible though? Maybe marvel studios is just what Peter Parker needs his live action stuff has been progressively more terrible and the character is stale at this point. I would have just liked something different but the money is with Parker I suppose
I don't think anyone's really hated Peter Parker no matter how much they hated some of the Spider-Man films. But that's just my opinion.
Just can't see people being overly excited for a new/different Spider-Man, one whose not Parker, meeting the Avengers.

Definitely agreed, but I was going for villains not yet in the moviesGoblin and Ock are the undisputed best though
Goblin's have all sucked so far, so it'd be good to get a good one down the road.
But best thing is to leave him alone for a while now, considering we've had a GG in 3 out of the 5 movies to date.
Not seen Doc Ock in a while though, so that'd be nice, considering he's the best villain that's always worked in all mediums.

Dafoe's Green Goblin was terrific
