Thing vs Juggernaut(Depowered)

Cain as he was when he wasn't at full-power such as his tenures with the X-Men, Excalibur, and the Thunderbolts. Who wins?

Thunderbolts Cain should win every encounter.

Huggernaut(X-Men) would give Thing a helluva fight, but I see them being more on equal ground with each taking wins.

I'm not too familiar with his Excalibur feats.

I've heard people say he was at his weakest during his Excalibur days but he did decent against WWHulk. Landed a good punch and took 3 hard shots before going down, Ben iirc was one-shotted against WWHulk.

Bens' strength got downplayed during wwh. Id take that arc with a grain of salt. However he does seem more durable than Marko. Kinda indecisive. Any recent feats of thing i should know about

Excalibur was his absolute weakest besides one off Juggernauts.

X-Men he was stronger while still nothing much. Sasquatch in his suit for example laid a beating on him.

Thunderbolts was stated to be depowered as well. However he seemed a lot more durable and stronger. I'd be willing to bet he was probably as powerful as X-Men and Excalibur Juggs combined.

Juggernaut in Exiles was just a shade under Classic. With the only real noticable difference being he had trouble healing. Other than that his strength and durability seemed up to par.

One offs like Rogue depowering him, Beast aging him, and Black Tom taking half his power are other examples. Though the half power one he seemed more than X-Men Juggs in the short time we saw him if you want to base his power on that.

I'd say the Juggernaut in the Amazing X-Men arc must be Thunderbolts level judging by the damage he was doing to Colossus and how easily he broke out of Icemans ice. He also punched Man-Killer(Class 75) through the roof and into the next time zone.

Yeah. He seems pretty tough. If not Thunderbolts, it can't be too far off unless something changes next issue.

Though it'll be hard to compete with his Thor/Hype fights from Thunderbolts for sure, but it's not like he's been losing.

X-Men Juggs for example was getting the shaft from Iceman's ice if you want a contrast.

If his level of strength were static when he was reduced in power I would give Ben the easy win. I am comparing his performance against the Wrecking Crew versus Ben's. Again this really depends on if he was consistently being portrayed at the same level stat wise, or if he had good and bad days. For now Ben beats him silly.

While i'd love to say Ben across the board, the fluctuating power levels are making it difficult.

Ben wins after a good fight or Ben stomps. Depending on fluctuating powerlevels 👆

Really? Ben, then.

Ben definitely wouldn't win against Thundernaut.

How did his strength get downplayed?

Considering how WWH was being portrayed, this seems about right. Damn fine hits on Ben's part, actually.

I know. I was asking Sin because she hates WWH...hates him with a passion. So I wanted to see what she was going to come up with since she thinks everything about WWH was PIS. I agree with you though, what happened was legit. Ben punch did better than most though. Thanks for the scan riv.

Was gonna say, using the WWH arc isn't saying much - Hulk SHOULD be above Ben, and no holding back, should crush him. same with Colossus and any other strong men that he fought. Hulk is another level to those two, and he beat the guys he was supposed to beat.

When Ben and Sasquatch fought back in the day Sasquatch was his superior, when Sasquatch and Cain fought they looked pretty even. And in that WWHulk example Hulk just got his with a nova blast from Human Torch so that may have softened him up a bit. And to be honest that strike didn't look any better than the one Cain landed on WWHulk. Ben didn't even turn Hulks head with that punch, Cain however did with his.

Cain's punch looks just as effective if not more.

Well of course YOU'D say that. 😛

Going just by the art, Be's looked way cooler. But thats not the point here.

No, Cain's punch really doesn't look more effective. Especially if we compare it with the first shot Ben's landed.

To be fair, Hulk just surivived HT's nova attack mixed with Storm's lightning, so it was probably easier to injure him, IMO.
