Titans vs Modern Weapons part 2

Ok, my last thread was unintentional spite. Gonna remake to make it more interesting. Saw a thread like this online, taking my own spin on it and let's see what happens.

The present.

No one knows how it starts but 1 in every 100 humans suddenly and violently gets turned into a titan. We're talking suddenly (explosively) expanding into huge unstoppable, regenerating man eating machines. Blowing up inside cars, homes, buildings, boats. It is random but seems to be concentrated in major population centers.

Most get turned into 3-5 meter varieties. 1 in 4 gets turned into a 7 meter class and 1 in 10 turn to a 15 meter class. 1 in 200 turn into an aberrant class. No human-titans exist, however. To compensate. 1 in 500,000 become semi-intelligent armored titans that seem to take a leadership role, organizing titans to attack survivors/military installations/population centers.

Each time a titan eats 10 humans, they "breed" by regurgitating a 3-5 meter class. In addition to "breeding", they gain 1/2 the weight of whatever humans they eat, adding mass and growing, topping off at 15 meters. 15 meter titans evolve to an armored titan after eating an additional 100 humans.

What will the world look like when this happens? Can our governments/militaries get their crap together in time and can our modern weapons allow us to survive this apocalypse or are we doomed to extinction?

Woah, lot of things going on here, lol.

I think it's a lot more in the titans favor, given that now every 1 in a hundred people is a titan, but I'd say that it's still possible for us to win.

I think the government, or what's left of it, would be able clear out a large mass of land, probably somewhere secluded from other bodies of land, and evacuate most of the remaining human population to it. There would, of course, be different action from each government, but I'm just specifically talking about the US, since it would take way to long to take every other country into consideration.

Anyway, I think that, as long as the titanification didn't spread, that it would be possible for the government to reclaim enough of their technology to eventually take out large numbers of the titans, and possibly even begin to set up a perimeter around technological centers. Then, they could research what weapons effect the titans the most, and start doing raids to clear out cities and such. Then, they could possibly even start to develop a cure, and within at least a few months, they could probably distribute it, through air raids, to the remaining titan population.

It might take a while, but I bet this could be dealt with within a year or two.

Even if not, then a small percentage of the population would take refuge in bunkers, and nuke the whole friggin' planet. To find out what happens next, see the game "Fallout", lol.

Also, this isn't really an anime versus thread, lol.
