Pre- c supes vs any of marvels or dc's high herald class, who can give him the best fight with a reasonable chance of winning?

Excluded from this list would be magic users such as Fate and strange for example since pre crisis had such a high degree of vulnerability to sorcery.

Agree with all the other replies. No herald-level character in all of comics history could ever hope to beat Pre-Crisis Supes.

What heralds even use magic? I don't recall any that did. You don't need to automatically discount any magic user. Yes he was vulnerable to it, but he also has insane levels of speed, strength, and other powers. People like Dr. Fate aren't just your average magicians.

There is no herald that can beat PC Superman. He could probably one shot most of them.
