Fuckin' douchebags.

It's a pretty shitty move indeed, but they're banking on the negotiations being so fragile that the West will let it slide.

This might also show how desperate Russia is for money.

Yeah. And honestly I can't believe they have the nerve to tell the U.S. not to send arms to Ukraine when they pull this bull.

Well, Russia's strategy is always going to be that seeing as they can't hope to outspend or outmuscle the United States, they're going to have to "outcrazy" them. Russia can afford to do aggressive, bullish moves because it has little to lose and is already hated or distrusted by a large part of the world. America has much more to lose than Russia, and frankly less to gain as well in a place like Ukraine.

True.

I hope this means the cost of the barrel of oil goes down another 50% from the pricepoint it currently is at. Gotta hurt Iran and Russia in the pocket book.

I don't get these foreign policy matters. We win the war in Iraq, maybe, and yet where are the spoils of war? Tell Iraq we want oil at $20 a barrel for the next 20 years and pump as much Saudi Arabia. The same with Iran, pump as much as the Saudis at $20 bucks a barrel for 20 years. We all can get huge oil container silos in our backyards and add to the Strategic Oil Reserves to store the oil and have the refinery folks pick them up when we want to refine to gasoline. That would break Russia's back big time.

Putin wants an Israel/Iran war.

Probably.

Dangerous business that. Mossad gonna put some Polonium in Putin's tea.

Putin would drink that down just fine though.

I wouldn't call it desperate, the West wants Iran to fight their battles and they wouldn't handle them missiles directly so Russia has to be the devil's advocate as usual.

We don't need Iraqi oil. We're actually on track to be a net exporter of oil thanks to fracking.
