Jedi Academy, disk version. False restart number five since I got this thing.

And now I remember why. My god, is the level design annoying.. It's basically the worst kind of "hunt for the next door/elevator" level design. Areas look exactly alike, so you don't know if you're backtracking or not. Background scenary doors are mixed in with usable doors, so you waste time checking every one. And elevator's are tucked into random corners, easily missed.

The action is great, if you can stand a half hour/hour of hunting around between them.

Here's an example of the stupid 90's level design:

Spoiler:
You're in a flooded room. You need to drain the room out. You check every nook, cranny, switch, door, and adjectent room, to no avail.

Finally you notice these little pumps on the wall, and realize one of them isn't moving. So you take a gamble and use "Force Push/Force Pull", which does the trick.

Force push/pull is normally used to push/pull objects. You have no reason to believe it can do anything more, so don't really think to try this, until you tried everything else.

I get no satisfaction from these kind of puzzles. In fact, I wish I read spoilers, and saved myself some time working it out for myself.

Portal, this isn't.

Back to playing a little Budokai 3.

Decided against getting any more DBZ games, though. Out if protest at the price gouging apparently connected to the franchise.

I can buy Portal 2 for 8-6 dollars. I can get New Vegas collectors edition for single digit-low double digits. Yet I can't find a single DBZ game for less then 20 bucks, no matter how far back you go.

Raging Blast, Raging Blast 2, Xenoverse 1 all 30-25. Even Burst Limit is 19.95 on Gamestops website used. They're milking fanboys, pure and simple.

The games simply aren't THAT good to justify it. We're not talking Nintendo products here (And I'm against the rampant speculation/hoarding/gouging there, too.)

I got the first Xenoverse for only like 10 bucks or so when it was on sale for PSN. Will wait for something like that before ever getting the 2nd one. Shame that that kind of price or lower isn't universal for those games though. I agree that they're not worth the default cost for the most part, not that it tops the diehard fans from eating those prices up...

I actually got Budokai 3 for the first time recently, and I can honestly say that...

I hate it.

I actually liked the fighting more in Burst Limit then in this game, BT3 would always be the champ for me.

Portal, this isn't.

Just play multiplayer. There is a guaranteed server with players here: http://shadoworder.com/pages/server/

Not always active, but when it is, its super fun.

Though lugormod might be your thing instead.

Or just screw around with NPC's and custom-made missions: https://jkhub.org/files/

The game has a very active modding community, and that site isn't even counting moddb, the JKA nexus, or mrwonko.

Hold your horses there, buddy. Burst Limit, Raging Blast, and Raging Blast 2 are great games. Although Xenoverse is... kinda boring after awhile, but its fun to create your own Saiyan.

However, New Vegas usually kills any DBZ game outright.

I guess Budokai 3 may not seem like all that now when compared to its successors, but I know you'd appreciate it more if you had gotten it back in the day.

Creating saiyans is overrated and something you were already able to do in some games before Xenoverse (Ultimate Tenkaichi comes to mind). The appeal with Xenoverse was finally being able to make characters out of the other races accordingly.

I used to play this saber dueling mod all the time. It wasn't "movie battles", I forget the name of it, but it was pretty awesome, featuring all the forms and a reworked combat system. Was practically a new game.

Downloaded really nice Dooku, Anakin, and Obi Wan skins too, with speech clips and everything.

Lost my save in Undertale. Up to the 3rd floor of the castle.

Dreaded facing the bosses again, but managed to breeze past them in a few hours. (Nearly gave up at Undyne the first time through. Damned reverse ddr style arrows..)

Marvel Heroes had a huge update, and so far it actually feels like they changed the game for the better. Enjoying it so far.

^ Tried that out a while back

got bored of it after a while.

Killing Floor is awesome with five-six people.

Only trouble is, no dedicated servers.

They released a big new update this week, so I've been trying it out. Having fun if the story is a bit thin.

Yes, but to say that one game can be better then another, you need to remove Nostalgia.

And even after playing both games back to back, I couldn't get enough of Burst Limit.

I would enjoy Budokai 3 if there wasn't stupid pre-requisites to unlock each character, or at least GODDAMN cheat codes!

Either let us unlock EVERY single character gradually by playing the story, or let us unlock every character by using cheat codes, don't torture people who (like me) have no interest in the damn story, no matter HOW good it is.

Not even including the fact that I am sadly not interested in Goku's story, but side stories and what-if stories.

I liked it enough to unlock Z3 mode, and beat mo'fn SSJ4 Goku with SSJ4 Vegeta. (YES!)

The trick is, you need to make good use of capsules. Turtle shell makes the AI use twice as much ki on dodge techs, for instance. Or "concentration", letting you use half ki for dodges/teleports. Combine that with a low point/high yield "potential", or even something cheap like "heart disease" in a pinch.

AI's cheap as is, so you kind of have to stack capsules to even the odds on the Z levels. (On anything below that, I can usually do ok against anyone except Cell.. I think he's stuck on Z3 at every difficulty level.)

I don't care about the story mode, I bought it for the versus mode, and I simply don't have the patience to fulfill pre-requisites to get characters, they should have it so that you should be able to unlock every character through beating the story or cheat codes.

I just want Bardock and then I'll be happy, and to get Omega Shenron, holy mother of ****.

Muffett.. 😠

Trying to complete Undertale without using any items, but some of the bosses make it really hard to stick to that.

Portal 2
Tales of Symphonia

and now and then Duke Nukem Forever.

Obsessed with Rocket League once again. 👆

Still playing Battleborn, also. F**k you Overwatch.
