What are you currently playing?

Looks like Third Strike's servers are either gone, or no one's playing anymore.

Oddly, there's still plenty of people playing SF II HD. Odd, because SF III is the one with the hardcore base who's gonna play forever, it's the SF equivilent of Smash Bros. (That and McsC2, but I'm talking core SF games..)

Anyways, how do you normally like playing these older ports: In widescreen mode, or 4:3?

Gotta be honest, third strike in widescreen mode just doesn't look right to me. Even if it's proper aspect ratio and all, it's harder on the eyes somehow..

Gave the HD Remix portion of Street Fighter II Turbo HD a proper playthrough. I'll never get to fight Akuma. 🙁

Undefeated seems impossible right now. Still loving the nostalgia though.

Found this about HD Remix on TV Tropes:

Deader Than Disco: The HD Remix Updated Re-release suffered this fate. Super Street Fighter II Turbo originally had a large, thriving competitive community lasting since its release in 1994, thanks in no small part to Street Fighter III having unfamiliar characters, slower gameplay, and a much higher learning curve that turned off less serious players. But in 2008, the HD Remix version was released, causing the competitive community to descend into a massive civil war amongst themselves over which version should be the tournament standard. The conflict caused both old and newer players to Rage Quit the competitive scene, and both versions temporarily stopped appearing at major fighting game events. Classic Super Turbo's competitive scene ultimately lived longer, but it will likely never be as competitive as it once was, especially since the more modern yet still casual-friendly Street Fighter IV later supplanted its position as the central 2D fighter of the community. HD Remix is now almost universally mocked and derided to the point that it's hard to believe that there was once such a fierce battle for it. Only time will tell if Ultra will redeem the Street Fighter II subseries in the eyes of the competitive community.

Lol, not doing much to counter the image that gamers sre man children here. It's just an update on an older game with some visual mods, and it almost breaks the community? 😆

These 2

Played online with Street Fighter 2 turbo hd remix, E-Honda against Zangief. Most fun I've ever had in a fighter. 🙂

Breath of the Wild, about to get Injustice 2 tho

Doom 2016, I'm having a blast to say the least.

👆 Glad to still see others recognizing it for the great game it is.

Doom 1993.

Finally beat Marvel vs Capcom 2 arcade mode, after being stuck on level 5. On easy mode.

I cheaped my way through with a team of Cable"s, and mashed hard punch and both assist's.

Hey, don't judge. Easy mode is other game's "Hard mode", and I kind of suspect Capcom made this one strictly for vets and tourney nerds, and didn't count on any casuals buying it.

Pretty much dude. I had to spam like Cable's and/or Ironman's projectiles (forgot who my other team members were), and then block the rest of the time until I got a win from timeout assuming I had more health than the opponent.

I mean if I had grown up with that game it would've been a different story and piece of cake for me, but I had practically no prior experience with MvC2 before getting it on XBL Arcade at the time. Frankly, it's kinda why I'm glad Infinite will be more beginner friendly, even though the auto combos thing is a valid concern.

I enjoy Mvs3 a lot more, that's for sure. 👆

Bionic Commando Rearmed.

Whoever says the orignal Bionic Commando is harder then Rearmed's hard mode is full of -ish. No way, no how is it even half as hard.

Chrono Trigger.

First time in nearly 20 years...

What platform?

PS2 collection is the first time I cleared it properly. (Akira Toriyama animation is awesome.) If I wanted to play it now, I'd have to do it on an hdtv (Yuck. At least it's a 720p set, retro games tend to look better on them then a modern full hd set)

I've got it for DS. I contemplated downloading a ROM but read that the DS was the "definitive version". Plus, yeah, I want to see the animation.

Oregon Trail.

Finally completed that farmer run I've been planning on since 1993. 🙂

3 dead, it was a close one

playing Breath of the Wild: "I was in front of my objective, but I was distracted and now I'm somehow on the other side of the map...?"

Picked up Transformers Devastation again to pop single character achievements and unlock Prime mode (I forgot how f'n brutal Magus difficulty is. You pretty much need to counter/rush ALL THE TIME. Spinning clothsline is also a must for crowd control)

I was a Grimlock junkie too, making it extra hard to learn how to handle conventional characters like Optimus..

That said, Starscream is still hillariously pathetic even on Magnus..

Got into Playerunknown's Battlegrounds which is refreshing after years of DayZ but it still has its alpha issues.

I'm also starting to get into League of Legends after I stopped playing Dota and Paragon.

I don't really have time to much else. I use to play Rainbow6 Siege a lot with my friends and fam.

I'm playing some Space Marine. F*cking up orks.
