I wonder if Depp actually wanted to do this movie or if he's just doing another gangster movie because his career has gone to shit.

I honestly think Depp chooses roles that don't stretch his acting abilities anymore. He seems to bounce from whacky to gangster & back again.

While this does look good, I'm weary of it since Depp hasn't done anything solid since 2001.

Still going to be a theater watch.

Sweeney Todd was one of his best performance, imo. Even got nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe. He was beat out by Daniel Day Lewis, but there is no shame in that.

That was in 2007.

One of the few JD films I've not seen.
