Why did I name these 7? Knowledge, sure. Fun to debate, why not. But these guys are also thread creators, and thread continuers.

For example. Say I made a 'Gray Hulk vs Guardian amped SMP' (actually, Golgo would do so). Everyone would say SMP - where's the debate in that?

Except Carver. Carver would come in, and the thread would explode. Same with h1. They make these boards more interesting, because they have just enough comics knowledge and grasp of logic - not to mention stubbornness - to ensure debates happen. If someone like ODG came in - that's pretty much the debate done. Same like Galan, or Digi, or Leo, or Delph, or anyone else that's been mentioned. These guys are amazing debators. But posters? IMO, you need people to be contrarian for a fun board.

Kris makes good threads, debates well, and has the knowledge to back it up. People like operator and Mr Master - they know their shit. No doubt about that - but when they come in and pass their opinion, it's pretty much final.

Golgo and cdtm - Golgo gets a lot of flak for his thread creations - but these two make the threads that we post in. We log in, and we can be sure there will be fresh debates.

I've blocked Galan, but I hear he does alright.

Sin is beautiful, and a paragon of feminine ideals.

Edit: this is just from my limited experience. There are other posters of course: OAS, abhi, Mindset, Bran etc - but they don't drive threads like some others, or create threads, or post scans, or have strapons.

Yeah, on the criteria that you keep the vs. forum alive, I'm pretty low. I start about 1 thread a year, and spend most of my time BSing. My primary contributions are elsewhere, at least over the last 4-5 years or so.

As Leo mentioned, these wank threads are always delightful. I like that we managed to attract a troll for this iteration as well.

I also think there should be some kind of award for consistency. Some posters can keep arguing without losing their cool (digi and DS), while others are quick to flip tables (like me).

Does anyone else remember when Val was actually a pretty top-notch comic debater?

val was one of the best around for a while. of the earlier guys, he was prolly the best. loved batdude though--hilarious. loved longpig too back then. and gs and i go way back too--always love reading his posts. xmarks was great and cresh is among my all time faves. that dude was smooth. he'd make fun of people and they wouldn't have any idea he was making fun of them. lol
