Yep, he was. There's a lot of context to that showing. When they were fighting face to face, Ironman couldn't slow Hulk down.

He ripped his arm off and, I'd think less of him if he hadn't. Still he got his ass beat and teeth knocked out..then KO'd..

Hulk was dominating the fight. The onky advantage Ironman truly had was during the time the spell wore off.

I don't recall Tony getting hurt, losing teeth, or getting KO'd.

Fact is Hulk should have won, considering he was bloodlusted.

He ended up losing with less teeth then he started.

The fight had clear writer bias, Hulk took an upswing moljnir to the face in AV1 with no ill effect, and now Tony knocked a tooth out? Its ok to admit is aswell. Movie Hulk, as of AV1 and 2, isn't consistent. And I think Joss was pandering to the masses rather than the fans, so he wants everyone to take 'Hulkbuster' at face value and credit it's name as its description also.

We are talking about Carver here, anyone else we could prolly have a reasonable debate but he does the "Who? What? When? Where? Why?" too much, he doesn't listen to anything but himself and will ignore anything that makes Hulk look bad, and then on the contrary make whatever he does more then it was..

I didn't see anything wrong, especially if we consider the context that happened during the end.

Look at the two situations again. Thors Upswing had WAY more momentum in it and he was definitely trying to KO Hulk because Hulk would have broke the helicarrier.

Ironman was also trying to KO hulk, but aside from him saying 'go to sleep, go to sleep' (again for comic effect) the hits he was giving Hulk did not look anything like as hard as Thor hit hulk but a tooth was still dislodged at a point in the fight when Hulk was at full bloodlust, full strength and more importantly, full durability.

Bad writing.

Looked like he was snapping out of the spell but right before he got KO'd he looked like he was about to continue his rampage

So Tony didn't have Hulk held down at any point in the fight? He didn't continually jackhammer punch Hulk's face while saying "go to sleep" over and over? Come on man the fight was back and forth with each one having advantages

So abominations established strength, durability, retained intelligence and hand to hand ability translates into nothing here?

I'd think it'd make the difference between a rampaging animal attack the limbs and a man attack the head.

Correction: It wasn't the jackhammer that knocked Hulk's tooth out, it was when Tony hit him with the elevator.

Also, Thor's Mjolnir swing did put Hulk on queer street for a moment.
