Not a single Star Wars character, eh.

Emperor Palpatine, Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Morpheus, John Preston, Rick Deckard.

Douglas Quaid gets an honorable mention also.

I have decided that Darth Maul is my favorite Star Wars character at this point. After careful deliberation I can't tolerate Palpatine's begging and cowardice as my número Star Wars uno character any longer.

I actually like that about him for some reason. He can go from unlimited power to a feeble old man, back to cackling like a madman.

Ian McDiarmid was perfect for Sidious imo.

Ian was perfect for the role. He was great in film but I don't tend to gravitate towards the cowardly types. It's perfect for the character but not something I am into.

I hope to see Darth Maul return to the big screen in a Star Wars anthology film.

Shame on all who didnt mention Predator.

A fellow poster in the SW section shared spoilers from Dark Disciple that he managed to find.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Supposedly Dooku ends up killing Ventress and Vos falls to the Dark Side, becoming Dooku's apprentice. Discussion about the subject veered towards Vos potentially hunting Maul down for Dooku/Sidious, but I don't know how likely this is. The Quinlan Vos I know would get skewered by Darth Maul.

Perhaps a joint effort of some sort? Regardless, Sidious won't want him running around freely and Maul's story will need to be tied up somehow.

What is the dark disciple ?

Just a basic summary as I don't want to read spoilers. Use spoiler tags next time. Like as in is this a rebels episode, a graphic novel, comic or what is this dark disciple supposed to be. What medium.

Yeah sorry, that was a shit spoiler warning.

Dark Disciple is a new upcoming novel starring Ventress and Vos. The premise is the Jedi Council puts them together to assassinate Dooku. One of the first novels of the new canon.

Based on unproduced scripts from the blockbuster TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The only way to bring down the dark side's most dangerous warrior may be for Jedi and Sith to join forces.

In the war for control of the galaxy between the armies of the dark side and the Republic, former Jedi Master turned ruthless Sith Lord Count Dooku has grown ever more brutal in his tactics. Despite the powers of the Jedi and the military prowess of their clone army, the sheer number of fatalities is taking a terrible toll. And when Dooku orders the massacre of a flotilla of helpless refugees, the Jedi Council feels it has no choice but to take drastic action: targeting the man responsible for so many war atrocities, Count Dooku himself.

But the ever-elusive Dooku is dangerous prey for even the most skilled hunter. So the Council makes the bold decision to bring both sides of the Force's power to bear—pairing brash Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos with infamous one-time Sith acolyte Asajj Ventress. Though Jedi distrust for the cunning killer who once served at Dooku's side still runs deep, Ventress's hatred for her former master runs deeper. She's more than willing to lend her copious talents as a bounty hunter—and assassin—to Vos's quest.

Together, Ventress and Vos are the best hope for eliminating Dooku—as long as the emerging feelings between them don't compromise their mission. But Ventress is determined to have her retribution and at last let go of her dark Sith past. Balancing the complicated emotions she feels for Vos with the fury of her warrior's spirit, she resolves to claim victory on all fronts—a vow that will be mercilessly tested by her deadly enemy . . . and her own doubt.

Darkness from legend isn't from a sci fi film.

Ripley, Hellboy, Neo, Egon spangler, Gizmo

In no particular order:

Darkwolf from Fire and Ice.
Ash from the Evil Dead movies.
Jeff Goldblum's character from Jurassic Park, The Fly, Independence Day, Buckaroo Banzai and Earth Girls are Easy.
Agent T from Men in Black.
Sonny from I, Robot.

Interesting lists and its safe for me to say most of the characters you people named I can't personally stand.

So now Sci-Fi includes fantasy characters now?

No, people have been rattling off all kinds of characters not relevant to the sci fi genre.

Ellen is my favorite, but the rest are not in order. If I had to put them in order:

Ellen Ripley
Khan
David
The Doctor
Snake

Isn't the only movie the Doctor was in, the US TV movie? I'm not sure if that counts or not.

1. The Bowman Star Child (2001: a space odyssey).
2. Gorgo's mom (Gorgo).
3. John McClane (Die Hard series).
4. Elvira (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark).
5. Thanos (only credit cameos, but he is already looking badass beyond words).

Gorgo's mom! 😄

Her name's Ogra, btw (the legendary sea monster mentioned early on).
