I was going to launch into an argument for Objective Beauty, however, I really don't have the required zeal and determination for a protracted debate at this particular time, and of course there's the subject matter involved which this thread is predicated to-- sexy beautiful women.

Now all you have to do is tell me what it is you find sexy about Bea Arthur, in detail and it should be heartfelt, or you will be branded an inordinate troll and your opinion summarily dismissed for any future posts in this thread.

The All in the Family spinoff Maude ran from 1972 to 1978. So we'll say at the time of the above photo she looks to have been in her mid to late 40s.

She won the American Theatre Wing's Tony Award in 1966 and received the second most nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series with nine. She received the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series twice and was inducted into the Academy's Television Hall of Fame in 2008.

But those photos from the 1950s are usually poor indicators of appearance given lack of color and different styles in fashion in comparison to what dictates "attractiveness" today.
