Actually it will be a film. Fox originally wanted a TV series, but after the Mutant X lawsuits it was determined that Marvel had to approve of Fox making an X-Men TV show, and after Fox basically spit in Marvel's face after they offered an Daredevil rights extension in exchange for the Silver Surfer and Galactus I doubt they would ever agree.

Looks like the director for this movie is an even bigger fan then Singer is, From what Josh Boone posted
