Yes, but he's not got a symbiote (and so, not saying he's weak to sonics/fire).

His armour is not a symbiote, it's just armour with a psionic link. Which can be exploited. Carver was bringing up Tony's dampers as used against Onslaught as proof of his resistance...but if his dampers are that powerful, he can't interact with his suit. So he must have removed them.

Of course, one could argue that he's taken it all into account....but that just is an argument of the 'Batman somehow finds a way' variety.
