Super street level?

*possible spoilers I guess*

So, as many of us are aware, Superman's powers are fading. To the point where now he's going to have to ride a motorcycle to get around. Just saw an interview about it when surfing the web and checking out yahoo news. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Personally, I'm not a big fan. Especially with having Supes cruise around on a motorcycle wearing a T-shirt and having that buzz cut. What exactly are they going for here?

If the writers wanted to copy Superboy's look, the could have copped this look

From when Kon lost his powers. He geared up, even using a literal S Shield.
The writers have options other than a Harley.

Heh. Captain Super, basically.

It was a good storyline, actually.
He refused to roll over because his powers fritzed. He knew he was a hero regardless.
And, it was more Super Guardian. He had his own shield slinger to be inspired by. 😛

Is it just me, or does it seem like they're making Supes into a douchy jock stereotype?

He's seemed like that to me since the New52 started.

True, but now it seems even more pronounced. Wondering why that is the image they want to foster with Supes.
