Poor, poor, poor Quanchi, can't figure it out. Maybe you should quote it again and give the lad one more try? His ST knowledge is 90+% wiki and youtube clips.

His pattern seems to indicate one dimensional thinking.

He is experienced, but not intelligent.

The new Star Trek series only works as mindless summer popcorn films, and even then, it relies heavily on Star Trek nostalgia. It has absolutely nothing on the original series and TNG, which was actually asking philosophical and existential questions about mankind, life, and the universe. That's what made ST the phenonemon it is. Not the stupid action, but the questions asked. If you think people tuned in to watch Kirk fight a foam lizard, you really don't understand Star Trek at all.

And note, I swear, I've only seen about 3 episodes of TOS, and about 4 of TNG in my entire life. I'm not a trekkie at all.

Don't say that! Quan is likely to pop his last remaining brain cell in a fit of delusional fanboy rantings! 😠

Old series sucked, boring, was completely cheesy and laughable. New series is great, throws little references to older nerdy Trekkies(the guy who made it could not even stand it), but does teach lessons. Better acting, better stories, better special effects, better fights, etc.

NuTrek is awesome old Trek is something the newer series is burning down.

Same story and characters with better CGI and Special Effects does not make a new better series Quan. Take a look at the prequel trilogy of Star Wars for proof.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. WTF?

Um, no. A series doesn't have to have special effects to be good. What about "Where No Man Has Gone Before", the tragic story in which a man is unable to handle to god-like power thrust upon him, or "Charlie X", in which the crew are trapped by the uninhibited whims of a confused child? Those episodes were suspenseful as all hell, and they didn't need SF, because they had something better: intelligence, which the new series lacks.

And by that, you mean, entirely composed of them (including Khan himself, don't forget 😉 )

It teaches grade-school lessons about perseverance. Not existentialist questions about the nature of the universe and mankind.

Nimoy kicks Quinto's ass any day as Spock (which is why he's needed fore the nostalgia factor), and note I am probably the biggest Sylar fan you will ever meet.

Negative

Who gives a phuck? I'd much rather leave the theater with a new and outlook on the world than amazed at essentially a glorified light show.

All NuTrek is doing is keeping the series relevant. It lost it's luster during the TNG films, and the only thing it is is a dead-horse-beaten cash cow franchise.

I am referring to the movies not the shitty series. Not watching that cheesy ship. Gtfo.

I don't mind the tie ins with or references as the newer ones are awesome. Older Khan was an obsessed incompetent fool compared to this Khan.

No, good reviews and does teach about the necessities of an opposing opinion, loyalty, values and the bonds that strength when opposites work out their problems and save worlds.

Nimoy is in the new ones. Wtf.
😂

Both are in newer ones. 😂

Far better stories.

I do as most other people. I could care less what you like.

NuTrek is making previous fans who despised the older series interested in it.

Already posted two more examples in off topic thread.

NuTrek>>>>>>>Old shitty dead Trek.

ok quanchi, try to follow:

the reboot follows the canon of the originals. while characters may gain/lose feats due to the altering of the timeline and events within, the botany bay, khan, and crew remains unaffected.

when you wiki-chimp 'botany bay' you'll learn that it was the ship khan and crew were originally discovered frozen within, which is consistant with both storylines...since its the same canon.

so i essentially put ricardo vs ricardo/cumberback vs cumberbach, and you look like a total fool once again 🙂.

they are the same exact person. 🙂

the logical conclusion is 50/50 for all. 🙂

cry more. 🙂

THE Quanchi112 following anything but Quan logic? The very logic he created while beating the meat and thus his brain was oxygen deprived?

Nah, that'll never happen.

And once more, Quan Logic and creative interpretation is in play.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, Quanchi112 presents to you "Quan Logic and Creative Interpretation" (© 2006, Bullshit Industries). Act now, and soon you too will be able to make all the unsupported assumptions you like! With our "Thick as a Post" expansion package, you'll be able to constantly refute the words of your opponents by making the same points over and over again, thus ensuring victory by attrition as your opponents throw their hands up in disgust and merely leave the field! Just ask United States Senator Robert C. Byrd:

"During the Civil Rights Movement, I held up Senate business for 14 hours in a futile attempt to block the Civil Rights Act. If I had had the Quan Logic And Creative interpretation, and Thick as a Post packages, I could have kept blacks as second class citizens for at least another ten years!"

i'm well aware that he wont accept the blatant fact staring him in the face.

that post was not only for the sake of mocking quanchi, but also to inform the 3 poor fools who also picked a side.

I've explained the time-split to you at least 4 times and I know other people have too.

Focus just explained the mechanics of this thread to you since you couldn't wiki-figure it out and you're still not getting it.

So, based on what does "NuKhan" win, "I Love Alone" guy?
