This is what we are talking about.

Well, I supposed it’s fine to have an utter crush on a fictional character. Tell me Korri, is it Neo or Keanu hanging on your wall? 🙂

Back to topic: So, as we now know, the Matrix will survive Revolutions. Any good guesses why? (Aside from the obvious, the game.)

you know something omega, i may have screwed up on the life cycle of a star thing, but the point was simply that our sun will not supernova. plus some oxygen producing life forms exist at the bottom of the oceans where the sun never reaches, explain that one. and just grow up, there's no need for personal attacks. PEACE! 🤘

neo dragan I think the bottom of the ocean is empty aside from the fishys that go down there. And the cadavers.
Back on topic. A maybe humans and machines make a truce (sp) you know peace.

I don't know if this is true or not but i think neo's gonna die

the oracle told neo that when he reached the source, that would be where the path of the one ends, well that wasnt a lie, the path of the one did end(computer programed to what was supposed to happen) now he has to pick his own path, he is no longer guided by the martix. the path ended when neo reached the arichect, becasue this was his first question of Choice, it is choice that seperated everything, his first choice was weather he was going to help trinity or the matrix.

If u ask me i think they will all die.

both 😄 and lots of car pictures & pictures of my fav bands (that includes dogstar) 😄 ok shut ill up now 😮

btw all this talk ant death is making me depressed 🙁

I hope that not too much of the action will be seen in Zion/Outside the Matrix, like it should be handled like the sentinel attack at the end of the 1st one. I imagine theres gonna be a big battle with the robots and those big Mech things. While this will no doubt look cool, it wont be as cool as all the gravity defying stuff in the Matrix, which sets the films apart from other ok but not ground-breaking battles.

well not precisely,
most of the movie will take place in the real world,
but if it is a MWAM or is still part of the same matrix,
then they would learn to do that kind of stuff in the real world,
(although i dont think that there is anykind of MWAM whatsever,
some people do and if you do then you can go on this theroy...

OK, I’ve read everything on this page, and I believe I can answer one of the most controversial questions as well as present a revolutionary (forgive the pun)new theory for the next movie. First and foremost, I would like to say that THERE IS NO MATRIX-WITHIN-A-MATRIX. I know this because—simply stated—that is both lame and stupid. We should all know by now that The Wachowski Bros. are both geneii and do not make lame or stupid movies. Come on, I really want you to think about it and not just to accept it because I offer a better explanation. That would mean the EVERYTHING told to us since film one would be false. There really would be no purpose. If Andy and Larry were comfortable making such a sh*tty story, they just would have put together a bunch of bullet-timed fight scenes and thrown a loose plot around that a la the One or the Mortal Kombat movies. If you’re one of those losers who’s married to the M-W-A-M plot then I have a further point to make: when Smith invades Bane, he becomes smith-just like everyone else. But, when he exits to the real world, he appears to be Bane. If it were indeed another Matrix, he would in all respects perfectly mirror Mr. Smith. Residual-Self image, remember?

Which brings me to answer the first question, How could Smith infect a person from the real world? The people who don’t understand this, I think, may be a little bit confused. The Matrix is not a holodeck, where you are real and everything else is not. It is basically a large-scale version of the Sims, which most people don’t realize they’re playing. EVERYTHING is an illusion. EVERYTHING in the matrix is a coded program or application. When a free mind jacks into the Matrix, his brain is actually uploaded into the system and encoded. When Smith takes him over, he just replaces Bane’s coding with his own. Think of it is way. You have a floppy diskette with a word document named “Bane.” Then you type an entirely different document, but save it to the floppy as “Bane.” Now, instead of the original file, you have a distinctly altered one, on the same disk, with the same name. See?

The reason he can manipulate stuff in the real world: I’m actually not prepared to reveal this just yet. My assumption here I can’t say with absolute certainty like the rest of what I’m saying. Stay tuned, you can read it after my theory for the next movie.

My Revolutions Theory: Its kind of long, but here goes:
The original Matrix starts with Trinity and Cypher talking, the screen shows "Trace Program" and the date "2-18-98". The movie ends with Neo making a phone call, the trace program is initiated and the date reads "9-18-99"... 19 months have passed!

If you watch the movie again, you'll see that the time sequence implies that they found Neo shortly after that initial conversation (a few months after 2-18-98 at most). Significant? Yes; I propose that Reloaded and Revolutions (which occur within a 24-hour period), take place between 2-18-98 and 9-18-99. Here's why:

Only a few months could have passed from the time Morpheus and the crew 'free' Neo to the time Neo is killed and revived in the hallway. Why? For one, Neo’s hair barely grows in that time and that’s not a trivial observation (it's also obvious that Neo grew out his hair in Reloaded, which occurs roughly 6 months after he's unplugged).

We also know the W brothers don't put insignificant things into their movies - the fact that they obviously signal to us that 19 months have passed from the start of the Matrix to the time Neo makes that phone call is there for a reason.

In Reloaded, Neo says, "I wish I knew what I was supposed to do". The phone call scene in the Matrix, Neo is very sure of what he is supposed to do, "I'm going to hang up this phone and show these people what you don't want them to see... a world without you, without rules, controls and boundaries".
Why would he have forgotten what to do between M1 and M2? He didn't, that last scene in M1 occurs after Revolutions!

Finally, at the end of M1, Neo states that "I can feel you now, you are scared". At the end of Reloaded he says, "Something is different, I can FEEL them now".

Evidence the Matrix isn’t destroyed is that there's a game directed by the W brothers called Matrix online is due in '04 and the timeframe takes place after Revolutions... and your character is rebel jacked into the Matrix.

My guess is that the machines reboot the Matrix to get rid of Smith (if Neo couldn’t defeat 96 of him in Reloaded, no way he’s gonna beat 5 billion in revolutions) and we'll see Neo make that very same phone call at the end of Revolutions!

Why neo broke the sentinels in the real world and went into a coma:
First you have to understand what smith said in reloaded about their connection. When Neo invaded Smith in M1, some of their coding conjugated, i.e. some Neo commands were cut and pasted to smith and vice-versa. Simply enough, that’s why neo can control the sentinels! In M1, Agent Thompson or Jones (I don’t know which is which) tells Smith to deploy the sentinels, so obviously Agents have superior credentials over the sentinels, and Neo also has those credentials. Perhaps you want to argue that “even if that’s true, he only has powers in the Matrix…” I believe he was in the Matrix! In Enter the Matrix, the oracle explains that neo's mind separated from his body and entered the source. Who's to say it wasn’t there then? That’s how he knew they tossed the tow-bomb at the Neb, and why he only then discovered that “Something is different, I can FEEL them now." Understand?

Nice hypothesis...too bad it seems like I've seen this very same message on Zion the Last free cities' message board like 2 months ago...but ohh well. And if I recall this is the wachowski's first movie am i not right? If I recall I heard they were doing pornos before this.

Well...maybe it wasn't so revolutionary. LOL they made one movie before The Matrix, that was about lesbians, but it wasn't a porn. Even so, if you actually analyze the Matrix, you'll see that everything has a purpose, nothing is just because. I've actually studied the movie, b/c i wish to be a director and they went though a lot more effort than was nessacry planting symbolism, ideas and allusions in making that film

Of course everything has purpose because without purpose things cant exist...I also want to be a director....and yes I do analyze this film very much.

things can defintly exist without a purpose. Have you ever seen the show "family guy" themost of the stuff on that show is so random...once, someone got a hard sentence in a court room. The people watching gasp "Oh, no!" "Oh, NO!" "OH, NO!" and all of a sudden out of nowhere the Kool-Aid man burst through the wall and shouts "Ohh, YEAAAHHHHH!" i can give you another example. Banana slug. Whats the point of banana slugs? Nothing eats them, they eat lichen, which benefits nothing on the planet, so why are they here? Also when i said everything has a purpose, i literally mean EVERY SINGLE THING, from the people washing the windows in his office, to the number apartment he lives in, EVERYTHING has signifigance in that film

whats the significance of the guys washing the windows? also, in the first movie, when neo is jacked out and on the nebucanezzar or however you spell it, does morpheus not say the its 1999, not 1998? which would mean at least ten months have passed since sypher and trinitys conversation. i might be wrong about that though, ive not studied the films as much as you guys. and ive no intention of becoming a director.
