Technically speaking is not any diferent than wearing an armor, it just happen to be gigantic. If Pica went to the ground and casted no shadow then that could be a problem, but he isn't smart enough to lay low for an extended period of time.

I think it is different. If he merged with a castle it wouldn't really be his shadow I don't think, it would be the castles shadow with his real body somewhere inside.

It's pretty hard to tell how strong most of the executives were, I wouldn't call their fights great.
