That item doesn't even instantly work on the tougher enemies and especially not on bosses. Of course it is a moot point anyways since Vegeta could nuke the area before Kratos even reacts.

Vegeta speedblitzes and nukes Kratos

Kind of to be expected when you put a relativistic small star buster against a massively hypersonic country buster at best
