Numerous factors. Malgus' raw strength should work well, as should his overall Force power. It should be close either way.

Vos is definitely better, just not by the margin he's made out to be.

And if anything, Dooku's performance probably could've been better, yeah.

Dooku could be sipping on a Darth Bane edition nexus protein shake with the most intense Force Rage of his wrinkly life and have six lightsaber wielding arms come out of his back and Vos would still kick his teeth in easily.
