Mostly the treatment of the original cast, especially luke. While the solo movie was pretty good, it has hints that it used to be a lot better before they changed directors.

I read the previous two guy's was going for a GotG vibe for the Solo movie

Lol damn it sounds like they failed if that was their goal.

Sounds like you think that they're the one who made Solo....It was Ron Howard.

How much got reshot?

70% apparently.

I've heard as much as 80% got reshot. 70% is still way, WAY too much.

Oh shit my bad, I misread.

And god damn it's f*cking depressing this came from Ron Howard. I know he has like 3 daughters, but damn.

Good thing Inf War is making so much. Cause this turd is going to be taking a good sized bite out of those profits.

Good movie. Seems like "star wars stories" can easily outshine the NT.

Yeah. Thats how I feel.

Actually, the movie isn't doing poorly because it's a bad film. It's just paying the price of The Last Jedi. Much like Justice League; despite being a better movie than BVS, payed the price of BVS and Suicide Squad.

Yes. This exactly.

This is set after

Spoiler:
phantom menace right? How is Maul in this?? Is he spider legs Maul??
I don't wanna see the movie, doesn't interest me but that caught my eye

No. It is set after

Spoiler:
Revenge of the Sith and before Rogue One.

You didn't watch The Clone Wars or Rebels, I'm guessing? Or comics, anything outside of movies?

Spoiler:
Maul survived getting cut in half and returned. He still died before Episode IV, though - Kenobi killed him on Tatooine.

Yeah will be interesting how they get around the canon after

Spoiler:
reintroducing him to the audience like that. I mean they cant expect the movie audience to go watch Rebels to see how he dies. Was kinda silly to kill him in Rebels if they planned to do this IMO.

Spoiler:
Many years between Episode "3.25" and that episode of Rebels, so Maul will probably reappear in a movie or two.

But I don't see them ignoring Rebels, that ep was even loosely based on the comic from pre-Disney times, "Old Wounds". That's why Kenobi refers to Maul as one. Feels like 200% canon now, you know

😂

Oh yeah they definitely wont retcon that. He even

Spoiler:
has the same Lightsaber he had in Rebels. Just curious how they will end his arc in the movies that satisfies audiences who know nothing about Rebels.

Yeah i've been hearing about that with Maul, It's not just with steverules_2...other people too thinking this movie is set after Episode 1

as for the new trilogy, They should've hired some writers from Dark Horse comics and some that did the various Legends novels.

Oh no I know it's set even after Ep.3 cuz otherwise Solo would be waaaaaay older than Leia

Yes approx half way between Episode 3 and the Rebels animated series. Which takes place just before ANH.

It doesn't matter when it's set. Unless they retcon Rebels, Kenobi and Maul can't meet.
Spoiler:
Not necessarily. Its like when Anakin says to Dooku in ROTS - My Powers have doubled since the last time we met- We assumed he meant since AOTC. But there were plenty of other meetings since then. And given theres still like 10years between Solo and Rebels, it gives some room to play with.

I put your post in spoilers, because you pricks gave away the surprise for me. Luckily there was still some surprise left as I thought he was just mentioned or hinted at, and not expecting a full blown scene.

I gave away phuck all uhuh
