I'm against 3 way fights. Too many variables, trying to manage three different sets of plans.
How about Mini-matches
Instead of A vs B vs C in one fight,
Smaller fights (maybe write up + 2 posts) A vs B / A vs C / B vs C
Each person fights two matches and the best performance overall wins.
Or some variation

And best overall performance wins in each of they're matches wins? Seems like it could be a bit confusing for us and the judges no?

So, statistically speaking, whoever is in the 3-way matches drew the short straw. They'd take a hit in odds. And past experience has always been a decent - though hardly perfect - yardstick. Leo and Scoob are the two past champions in the field, but there are plenty of tourney veterans. They're also in 3-way matches. So it's hard to draw many conclusions from that data.

I'm a bit happier that I'm in a 1 on1, having never done a BZ before. Makes things simpler-boks is still a hard nut to crack though.
Being amped by dark things in the Brilliant City won't help either.

Its going to drag this competition longer than its intention.We can do single elination, seeded. But that would mean 2 members will pitentially fight twice to reach the semi finals.
Top 3 losers (by judges vote) enter the 2nd round, then it's a basic 8 man knock out tourney.
so annoying when the numbers don't mesh well ... maybe we'll get "lucky" and have a couple of no-shows in the 3 way match.

yeah, this does need some handling. there will always be shadows and what not, that's to be expected (would have preferred the surface of the sun, but hey...) but the surrounding darkness is....troubling. just some sort of impenetrable barrier around the city itself would prevent that little issue, no? or something like that? whatever prevents him taking advantage of what appears to be, you know, infinite darkness. 😐
