characters, you mean, not words.

You always have to leave a little bit of wiggle room, bc scan links take up more space once posted than it says in the character counter, bc KMC adds the [img] tag before and after it. And yeah, around 9,600 is a good goal to make sure you have enough room.

Yup, had that problem before. try to stick to around 9,500 at max and you'll be ok (but less if you don't want to bore the judges)

i think we've all experienced the frustration of losing a longggg post....that is the WORST. now though, the post doesn't disappear on you. it takes you back to your original post at least. still, i always copy as i go, especially if things are getting close to the max...

that would suck. anyone know now if they'll have trouble getting a write up in tomorrow...?

I'm guessing it's because I had to copy and paste the whole thing once shortened to make it post. I was afraid of that since the site abbreviates links

hmm, wondering if a mod could possibly merge these 2 tourney threads. seems no one is actually giving odds, and 2 discussion threads is one too many in this competitors opinion.
