Pretty sure Traya and Nihilus insta-killed a shit ton of people with it actually. Traya doesn't kill you in the DS version because no shit, she doesn't remotely want to kill you. And Traya says that there's no defense against it, so there very much is a basis for it being unblockable without a unique state. Even if you don't die from the shock of being violently severed from the Force, it's not like you can put up a fight afterwards i.e. Traya vs Sion.
Hence why I said Traya AND Nihilus. They use the exact same technique. And I'm perfectly aware that a completely hypothetical defense may exist. And you are very much welcome to try to prove that it does and that these 3 all have it. The Master's survived by not being on Katarr, lmao. You think they survived mother****ing Darth Nihilus but Traya completely clowned them? Think again.
Agreed, it's kind of bizarre. My best guess is that she simply sapped the Exile of enough energy that she fell unconscious through their force bond and didn't actually drain her.
You can kindly stop with the red herrings now. I didn't mention Nihilus at all, and yes I'm aware he could've killed them.
Regardless, it's not an instakill unless the character is far more powerful than the victim(s). And again, all of team 2 has Drain as well, which by Traya's admission, she can't really defend against.
It isn't a red herring. They use literally the exact same technique. Anything Nihilus can do, so can Traya on a smaller scale.
Respective power isn't that important. The Master's didn't die because Traya was really powerful, they died because they couldn't handle being cut off from the Force that utterly. Since they have no means for defense there is also no means for a clash of power.
Lol, you think Traya uses the same kind of drain as normal people. You should bone up on your research, Traya and Nihilus' drain is unique. No other form of drain completely severs the user from the Force to such an extent that an absence is created, nor does using a regular force drain create the intense feeling of hunger and drive to consume others that Nihilus and the assassin's exemplified. Avellone even said that none of the ancient Sith used it because it would subsume their personalities.
