Are there policies on spite threads?

Yes. There are also rules about starting threads on those we know next to nothing about, but that hasn't stopped anyone. Some of the mods just don't know about the difference in power between Random EU Jedi and Random EU Sith, so unless someone says it in the thread, they'll never call it out.

Honestly, even then it boils to personal opinion. One person, even a mod could say that Vitiate would get blitzed by Sheev, others say it's a good fight. It's difficult to gauge I guess. So they just keep out of it 'cause otherwise they'd seem bias?

Frankly, I don't think we have enough threads for it to be a problem.
