Obi-Wan Kenobi & Kyle Katarn VS Exar-Kun

Round 1: Sabers Only

Round 2: Force Only

Round 3: All-Out.

The duo win the first round but die in the others. They just don't have anything to compare to Kun's sheer Force power.

Has Obi-wan or Kyle ever encountered someone like Kun though in a duel? His hybrid style is very unique and I am not sure Kyle would last long at all against him.

That Kun hype is unreal here. Kun's style was only more unorthodox for his time period.

Anyway, Kun takes the majority, but not by a giant margin.

Nah Kyle doesn't have the chops to bridge the gap for Kenobi.

Kyle's underrated. Team takes sabers.

Kyle is underrated but on the other hand he is definitely not Kenobi tier, nevermind Kun tier.

Nah, he wielded a double blade like most wield a single, he was pretty unorthodox.

I'd give Kun the edge in savers as well, if only because Kenobi's not an offensive enough duelist to pressure Kun off Kyle, which he'd really need to do.

*Feels special because Sel bothered to post in one of his VS threads. Fans himself* Though I do feel like asking Sel, do you think the sabers-only would change if it were Kenobi being initially pressured by Kun? As we all know he is THE master of Soresu.

Kun really isn't that much above Obi-Wan as a swordsman, so having Kyle there is a definite edge to the team in sabers.

Yeah, Kenobi is terrible teammate in a saber duels. Kyle should die quickly.

Exar solidly in every round.

Exar isn't taking the first round handily or solidly. Kenobi's Soresu is something of a counter to Kun's unique saberstaff design and technique.

In what way? On the contrary Kun is described as exactly the type of duelist Kenobi hates.

Well, I mean the styles of the NJO are completely hybridized and Katarn has taken on a guy who dueled Luke Skywalker decently, and if memory serves me right, one of the sources states that Kyle's fight with Desann was mostly a lightsaber duel.

Kun doesn't win sabers, you filthy infidels.

Kenobi honestly solos sabers.

Kun probably wins Force though.

I'm undecided on all out.
