Durden does exist if he's in The Narrator's body/is the personality in control and this is taking place before The Narrator 'extracted' Durden from his psyche.
Durden has people all over the US, he set up fight clubs in varies cities. He seemed smarter, at least in terms of achieving goals.
I'd go with Durden more times out of ten, more man power, his people come from all walks of life and bring various amounts of knowledge and skills with them, arguably more money since the Joker likes to burn his and Durden did achieve his goals.
