Huh? I don't remember Tony creating a black hole..? 😕

On another note, I really enjoyed how Waid explained Tony's abilities:

It's very refreshing to have a more logical/scientific breakdown of a character's powerset for once. 👆

In the last two issues. Qubit and Plutonian learn how Bette powers worked, than Tony goes on to create a black hole to be used to absorb the radiation across the planet.

😕

I don't get it.

If this Plutonian guy has power like that, couldn't he simply trap Sentry in a net and then make it several times harder than primary Adamantium so he couldn't escape? It would be like Sentry being swallowed by that worm all over again.

It was stated to have the density of a Neutron Star:

What makes the feat even more impressive, however, is that the radiation it emitted was basically the equivalent of Tony's Kryptonite--it weakened him tremendously. Despite that, he still flew around Earth at those speeds, whilst carrying that much weight. For a point of reference: one teaspoon of Neutron Star-material weighs an estimated 5.5×10^12 kg, or ~5.5 billion tons... That is a staggering feat right there.

At any rate, I'm glad I came into this thread. It made me go back and reread Irredeemable... I forgot just how f*cking haxx Tony was. 👆

There are a lot of coulds/woulds/shoulds that go along with a character as broken as Tony. You just have to be careful, though, because it's easy to step into the realm of no-limits fallacies when discussing his 'potential'.

Yeah thats the scene.

Per Qubit they only had X amount of time (a few minutes something like 4 min...i cant recall the exact amount.)

But Tony needed to circle every square inch of the globe within that time frame, while he held the that black hole.

Its a crazy high feat.

They had between 3-4 minutes:

And then his potential became so great he was basically evolved into an idea that was hinted to have been the origins of Superman.

^ It was more than hinted at, lol.
