AST Astner The Ghost Who Walks In the Dangai Ichigo merged with young Zangetsu who had absorbed Hollow Ichigo. So Ichigo didn't have a Hollow side to draw power from.
JMA Jmanghan Senior Member I remember him learning Mugetsu from them, but not "merging".It was my assumption that his incredible power was just a result of the intense training he had against Tenza Zangetsu/Hichigo.
