If you can't see how unreasonable and fallacious you're being in this thread there's no point in carrying on.
If your question is simply, "Do you believe Islam is a religion of peace?" I'd say that I think Islamic doctrine is backward and promotes lots of terrible practices, and that on the whole it's not a religion of peace.
I think the world would be better off without it, but I don't think hating Muslims or assuming they're all dangerous is going to help anything.

But you could make that argument for any religious doctrine without assuming that the doctrine also accounts for keeping up with the times.

Its like if you're investigating a drive by crips in Compton, its probably not a white guy. If you wake up with a burning cross in your front lawn, chances are its not a chinaman who did it.
This is actually making me wonder if it is racism or a new thing schools are doing(over reacting).
Just this morning I heard about a new thing that was sent out to all Chicago public school students, it was basically from my understanding a guideline of things not to do and that you would get detention for, and the parent and child had to read and sign it.
So this thing had a lot of stuff you'd expect: don't leave the classroom without permission, don't disrespect teachers,etc.
However it also literally listed stuff like murder and attempted murder as things that would result in detention and possible expulsion. I am not even joking here. It also talked about gambling and how it was not allowed, even fantasy football. Oh and the kids had to agree to not sell fireworks, and all this other junk.
Keep in mind this was sent out to kids as young as 8-9 yrs. old. Oh and you can't hug unless specifics "consent" is given to someone. Same for kissing...you will get a detention.
