They do Choose what information they show and they CONTROL how it is shown.

So we're going to continue to pretend that CSNBC forced the Repub candidates to that platform. Okay then.

FORCED? They ran to it like pigs to the Big Farm Wife yelling SOOOOOEEEEE!!!

Has anyone seen the ridiculous set of demands the Republican campaigns want for future debates?

I haven't. What are they demanding? Do you have a link?

Google tells me:

Meh some of them aren't that ridiculous to me.

Asking things like if there will be opening closing statements, how long will the debate be, how long do they plan to broadcast. Those seem pretty reasonable to me. In fact I would think those are things they should have already been asking.

Some of them are crazy though. Especially the ones about the crowd. Making sure they can't wear political messages on shirts, or that they need to be trained on how to cheer properly.

The 67 degree request just seems odd.

Also the will you take responsibility for all questions asked even if not by your personal seems off to me.

At this point it seems like they are trying to take the CSNBC incident and see how far they can flex that disaster to get a perfect set up for them to do what they want with the debates.

from what i've read in the second of robtard's links (assuming it's genuine), i don't find the demands unreasonable. *shrug*

I do find this somewhat funny what is going on though. At least for some if not all of the Republican candidates they belief that we should not be raising a country of victims. While at the same time they are using the victim card to get special treatment at the debates.

did anyone actually read the list? they are fairly reasonable and i think all debates would do well to accept it as a standard.

perhaps the GOP would have done better to present this list before destroying their own credibility by constantly playing the abused victim like a bunch of sniveling man-babies.

I agree with Bashar, they all seem reasonable really. Would make the debates a lot more substantive (albeit less fun to watch).

The 67 degrees thing is funny, but no one wants to look like a sweaty mess on the debate stage, so it's understandable while oddly specific. Probably was the pet issue of some particularly sweaty candidate in the draft room.

I have read the list and I agree most aren't unreasonable.

Although some like the ones involving the crowd and the being responsible for all questions asked are somewhat silly. You might as well not even have a live audience if you're just planning on censoring them.

Reaction shots are different from censoring though. You can make anything seem positive or negative by picking the right person in a crowd.

Otherwise they are just asking about what instructions the crowd gets, particularly regarding cheering (which again, potentially can spin everything by making things seem popular or unpopular).

I think what being responsible for the questions means is that you vet the people that ask them (if you have like a youtube or facebook or twitter partnership, you don't just let people freely ask whatever they wants, but curate acceptable, and journalistic questions, and you have to stand by your editing).

Obama calls out Republicans on their complaints about the media.

He's just very funny sometimes, and does have a point.

Who gives a shit about Obama "calling out Republicans?" He's a traitor to America and is in bed with Islam. His opinion on the matter is shit to me. I don't give a shit what that ****er says about the Republicans' rightful complaints. He should go **** himself. **** him and **** that ugly b**** Hillary. The Republicans were right on in what they said. Neither OBama, Hillary, or anybody on this forum can change that no matter what they or any of you liberals say. PERIOD. 👆

Obama's opinion of the Republicans means about as much to me as you foreigners' opinion of Republicans means to me. Which is absolutey none. He's a disgrace as a President and I can't wait till his ass is gone and we get a strong Republican in office. Which WILL happen next year whether you dumbocratic supporters like it or not.

Everybody knows the moderators at the debate were wrong in their childish behavior and everybody knows the Republicans were right with what they said about the bias in the mainstream media. Get over it. Obama can cry and b****about it all he wants to. It doesn't change a goddamn thing.

And what about them trying to tell the audience not to wear any shirts with political messages?

What about if they have an ask the audience segment?

Like I said the stuff around the crowd is them trying to flex their muscle after the fiasco at CSNBC to see how much they can control the debates now.

Funny you forgot Obama refused to debate with Fox moderators as did Hilary.

But you are one of the most bias posters here newjak.

Well played with blinders and earmuffs on.
