He was a business man, you know what you are doing and it don't work. It failed in the debate and you failed bringing that up again Q.Bad form.
You know it is possible to turn from businessman to president no matter how much you hate the idea of capitalism.
But in the past, he has used his power to persuade legislators to support his cause no?

Isn't he really, really known for donating to both sides in order to accumulate favors? Like, he hung out with the Clintons a lot, he donated to Rubio. It'd strike me as odd if he suddenly turned anti-lobbyiest.
Trumps brags about having people in his pocket and he shyly implied that even Bush was in his pocket last night, concerning Florida/Casinos.
TI's just doing the "it's different when Trump does it" tactic.
Funny you bring up Casinos, your one eyed Lead and Chief is the Minority Leader of the Senate who allows Casinos. So as it stands liberals are for Casinos.
As we know Trump owns Casinos and Hotels and was liberal, so par for the course. So he wanted to put one in Flordia.
Big effing deal right?
You do know who the biggest campaign contributors are to Bush right?

I didn't comment on the pros or cons of casinos, so this is just another "Obama did it!" rant from you due to your ODS.
Nice job trying to deflect though, but it failed. The immediate topic was 'is Trump a lobbyist/had lobbied'. He brags about having people in his pocket. Brags.

It's possible to be sure, but you know, most business-people to politicians spend several years in different positions in between. Some stuff works different. The fact you have to work with opposing parties can often be very different.
It's somewhat similar, there's overlap in some aspects, but it is not the same skillset and plenty of business people don't succeed as politicians.
Trump doesn't have experience with how some aspects of the job works, he's no diplomat, and his ability to sell plans to friendly investors is a lot different than dealing with congress.
Yea, you -and many others- view it as a major plus, but I don't think it's a substitute for actual experience as a politician. I'd rather have a senator or governor, and someone with *no* political experience in the job is pretty much unheard of.
Heck, a lot of the tea party types were very under-experienced, and they ended up being the ones acting most unproductively, like trying to pass the same failed bill 40 times when someone with more political knowledge would've built up political capital to try and get one vote that works, and got very little of what they're elected for done- which is why people are so mad at the party now, because they couldn't get what they promised done! It's an object lesson in why political experience matters.
We're likely to stay at odds on this, but that's my PoV.

You must have skimmed that too.
LoL, as recently as late 2013 he tried to bring a casino to Miami. So how very convenient for Trump to suddenly grow a conscious, the fat-cat billionaire.
Ok, to add a new subject or two:
Fiorina.
Her military proposals, where it's actually a bit unclear as to the precise size she was talking about, would cost an estimated half billion dollars, before getting into the unspecified nuke upgrades she mentioned.
Pretty expensive!
----
And in sillier news, related to the question on putting Rosa Parks on the 10 dollar bill and who they'd put on: Jeb Bush walks back his Margaret Thacher on the 10 proposal. Because... putting a foreign political leader on our money? Yeeea, that's a bit out there Jeb!
Ted Cruz suggested instead of putting Rosa Parks on the 10, that Parks should bump Andrew Jackson off the 20, which makes a lot of sense to me and is my favorite suggestion of the lot.
Walker suggested red cross founder Clara Barton on the 10- another fine suggestion. Christy went with Abigail Adams, not bad, and Rand Paul went with Susan B. Anthony. Trump stuck with Parks, no problem there. Some named family members, which, eh, it's nice you love your family and all but you're running for president here, I'm looking at you Huckabee and Carson.

And Obama ran on saying immigration was congress's job, and that he believed marriage was between a man and a woman. And that you could keep your doctor and your plan.
Guess what happened!
We can do this all day.
