I think they're probably about equal in terms of skill and stats. Mystique seems to be low level superhuman in terms of strength and speed, just as Ozymandias is. I think Mystique's shapeshifting will give her the edge though.

Well, she DID grow claws in X1 IIRC.

Is there a limit to her shape shifting? If she took the form of Blob, would her durability increase? And could she keep her agility in that form?

You honestly have no clue sometimes. It's almost like you've never been in or seen a fight in your life. If you can't grasp how going from a person who's x height, with y reach and with z body structure... might.. just might change the perspective of the opponent and throw them off. Even if momentarily, that momentarily can be all the advantage you need to win. That's not even including growing claws or something else to aid her in this fight.

The claws were fake yes, Ozy can grab bullets so I dont see what some claws are going to do.

They weren't adamantium, but IIIRC they were sharp/solid enough to cut thru that steel(?) cable holding the weight up on that door.

Also, you asked what benefits shapeshifting gives. Growing weapons (that enhance range/lethality) is one thing. I merely responded. Not saying this gives her the win, tho.

I think her claws were even deflecting Wolverine's as she was blocking his strikes. Obviously eventually they broke, but to take some shots from them leads me to believe they are relatively strong

So they must have been bone claws. I don't think thats anything Ozy can't handle, he was bullet timer.

I'm not saying that shapeshifting will give her an absolute, insurmountable advantage, but I think in almost every other category (other than say tactical intelligence) they're about comparable (Mystique seems a little more acrobatic), but with shapeshifting and the advantages that gives (see Kurupt's post), Mystique should take a majority, or at least split.
