Ichiya seems to be an... uneven character. His scenes can let him hit incredibly hard, but he was the only one to lose to a sub-guild in the Oracion Seis arc.

Still, yea, he can be a wild card threat.

Tbf Angel seemed to have snuck up on him while he was taking a piss, so I'd say it's more of a non factor.

According to Erza, Ichiya is above her level.

No, not that point- and there's no shame in losing to one of the actual Seis.

The Seis had sub-guilds running around. The FT characters crushed some, the Trimens crushed some, Ichiya got captured and tied up.

And we do know that Ichiya *can* hit really really hard, so she may just be talking 'how hard he can hit'.
