Kazdan was outpacing an early Galen who frankly wasn't that great. Saesee takes this - he's considerably stronger in the Force (telekinesis, especially) and his skill is greater too.

Tiin. Kazdan's a reasonably strong master, but Saesee is stronger at dueling and in the force, and puppets aren't going to stop his might.
I mean, the point was made after beating him how much a step up fighting a council member would be.
