Going by showings TPM maul had trouble with Qui Gon. Dooku could easily take down qui Gon, as Dooku was able to take on the combined might of Anakin and Obi wan, and survive a bout with Yoda, without being disarmed or anything. A stronger version of Maul had trouble with a broken Kenobi. Dooku has greater feats, and greater accolades from characters of high calbiers.
