... Don't know how this Superman compares to let's say ... Surfer,but Surfer was nearly killed by Runner, easily
.If not for 'celestial madonna' Mantis, healing Surfer, he would've died.

Or...his intentions were that reporter was given to hyperbole.Surely, in all of Superman's history, you can dig something else up? Prof Hamilton, after all, studied him extensively - does he not have any measurements?
Otherwise, we'd have to take Reed's statements about million exploding suns at face value - or PM's statements about Hulk supporting a star at face value.
Anyway, OWAW Supes shredded through multiple Imperiex Probes like they were fodder:
Couple that with his plethora of perception/reaction feats, and his chances against Runner are pretty good, imo.

Again: Imperiex Probes;
Absolute Power agaist Uncle Sam w/GL ring.
Runner has nothing superior to Superman, just as I stated.

The opposite of absolute zero=Planck Temperature. Now, I'm not definitively saying that his HV produces Planck heat... It's just something to think about, is all.
srug
Superman's heat vision could be 1000 degrees in that scene.

Anyway, man can create temperatures beyond thousands of times hotter than the sun. If man, in comics, tried to measure Superman's hv and it was beyond their ability to measure then that means that Superman's hv is at least thousands of times hotter than the sun. This is hotter than what any Herald has experienced. That's why it's been shown to penetrate beings that can survive in stars without any damage.
