Still people are making pretty broad all or nothing claims about people. First of all you should never take anyone's word simply because they are celebrity but it doesn't automatically make their claims false either.

As to Bently's statement it is technically true because Julian Moore has access to more pertinent data on the modern era than the founding fathers ever will. It doesn't mean she is right though. It also doesn't mean the founding fathers are the be all end all of a discussion on topics that did not pertain to their time periods.
