This guy is the stunt coordinator of the ROTS movie and the other prequel films. His "opinions" are taken as facts around here, depending on the context. For instance when discussing levels it's pretty much fact.

He's like the George Lucas of the lightsaber duels. He says Anakin is a 9 so him being the position he is he can say that.
That's not a valid piece of evidence since Lee was much older than the person of Maul, and since actaul humans can do what force sensitives can ,you can't use the movie as evidence in that since. Also even with that Dooku showed he had speed in his battles in attack of the clones and Revenge of the Sith. However This all comes down to interpretation which can't be used as proof.

So you ignore their movement speed. Palpatine is much older as well yet his speed is faster than Dooku's. Quit ignoring the evidence.

No, I mean you can't use that speed as an actaul analysis to judge whose faster especially when people are limited to their age and physical handicaps. TCW is far better or novels or anything in the expanded universe. There it shows Dooku is faster than Maul, or at least just a s fast. Stunt doubles really.

It is fact. We treat them as facts since he is the professional here. It dictates where they are in terms of skill with the saber.

Since when are Nick "Lightsaber Forms don't exist" Gillards' opinions taken as "facts" around here? The guy choreographs fights. That's it. He doesn't have any expertise that goes beyond that. His personal views on the lightsaber skill of certain characters are exactly that: his personal views. I mean, seriously: Not only did the guy rank his own character, Cin Drallig, a level 10, he also produced the following gem:
"Obi-Wan is at a level 8, which is where Anakin starts. But Anakin jumps to level 9 -- and the difference between 8 and 9 is enormous. A Jedi can get to level 9, but that's the difference between light and dark. The duel actually gives you quite an idea about these characters, because Anakin has learned the fighting, he's enormously talented -- but he hasn't learned the mental side of it. Knowing all of that from a story standpoint was enormously helpful in choreographing the sequence."
So the difference in lightsaber skill betwen Anakin and Obi-Wan is enormous - in favor for Anakin. Who didn't see that during their duel, when Anakin chopped Kenobis legs off and left him lying next to a lava stream...oh...wait a minute... 🙄
That doesn't change the fact that Quanchi is wrong - as usual...

Even if it were just his opinion and this is a big IF. His opinion is greater than yours.
No they are not in terms of dueling in this context. Animation and novels are the best in this instance sense they have more freedom, especially the novels.
