Well he's the Grand Inquisitor, so it's no surprise that he is more powerful than her. Plus Ezra is able to slightly duel her alone, which is something he never really could do with the Inquisitor.

Well for one thing, Ezra's getting stronger. Secondly, he doesn't seem to last any more than a couple of seconds there.
